Super late post #3

I hope this works visually. I'm not sure if it's connected enough, but that's how most of my jokes are I guess. Most of the joke is in my head and then the tail end of it falls out of my mouth and no one knows what the heck I'm mumbling and chortling about.

  1. The joke is that your cat goes through huge preparations in order to bury her "treasure", but then never finishes. Right? I think what is unclear about this strip is the little pair of feet in the last panel. We don't have anything to connect them to since that person hasn't been in the strip yet. You could have the cat taking the treasure from the person in a first panel, and even have some word balloons describing some of what is going on. I use that crutch in my work all the time.

  2. I find that a lot of my strips come off half-baked because I don't set them up very clearly. In my head they make sense, but that's because I know what I'm thinking and I start my strip in mid-thought. It's about poop. My cat (and most cats that I've personally met) are terrible at covering their "treasure" (poop) with litter, even though she tries and scoops litter all over the place, she never covers it. The feet are me I guess, or just a passerby who finds the sloppy covering job. Maybe I'll try this strip again...I did it at 3am so maybe that's why it's a little loopy. Thanks for the feedback Matt!
